Bismillah irRahman irRahim

From Futuh-ul-Ghayb: an excerpt

Hz. Ghouth-e-Azam, Shaykh Abd-ul-Qadir Jilani r.a. says that the man of Allah Taala is inflicted with some pain or trial, and in the first stage he tries to remove that pain or trial with his own plans and struggles. In the second stage, when he does not succeed to remove it with his own plans and struggles, he consults the nears and dear ones, he asks for help to the men of power, he goes to the people of links and posts, but finds nothing and no one helpful.

His pain or trial remains there, and he gets failed to remove it even with the help of others. In the third stage, when he sees that his own plans and struggles, his requests and beseechings to others, have not resulted in any thing positive, he goes, or attends to Allah Taala, weeps and cries in helplessness and bitterness. He goes on making requests to Allah Taala, and remains there up to a considerable time. But, for some reason or other Allah Taala does not remove his pain or infliction, He does not bring him out of that trial, and keeps him there for more and more time. The man starts getting broken, he does not know what to do now. He has already become hopeless from his own plans and struggles, and got rejected by his nears and dear ones, he does not know what to do now. So, he tried to attend more and more to Allah Taala, and cries and weeps, and the time goes on passing.

The Shaykh r.a. says that after considerable years of time, when the hope, will power, desire etc of that man are broken, The Fate overcomes the whole of his existence, and he is left with nothing but the spirit. His heart gets empty of all desires and plans for world, and his inner is enlightened and glowing. He then shall feel the Oneness of Allah Taala.

Peace be upon the Men of Allah Taala,

Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin wa ala Aali Muhammad.
