Bismillah irRahman irRahim
I have read in the book of my father, may Allah Taala bless him with His Mercy and Love, that the limits or the area of a Wali of Allah that Allah Taala puts under his influence and control, is called Walaayat. It is in fact a defined circle, a Wali of Allah Taala may exercise his qualities in, and place the orders from heaven on.
My father, may Allah Taala bless him with Mercy, further says that the Walayat is mainly of two kinds:
- Walayat Kasbi -- that is earned through struggles and efforts in the way of Allah Taala.
- Walayat Wahbi -- that is given or put as a blessing right from the beginning.
My father, may Allah Taala bless him with Mercy and Love, says that the Walayat of Kasb is also known as Walayat Asli, Walayat Zati, Walayat Wajubi etc. It has the Anwar or lights of fourteen Prophets a.s. and that our Prophet s.a.w. taught it to some of his companions, and bless them with it, to continue to the Day of Qiyamat.
My father, may Allah Taala bless him with Mercy and Love, further says that the Saliks shall go on seeking it under the guidance of their Murshid, and blessed with its Anwar to the Other Day.
Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin wa ala Aali Muhammad.
