From Futuh-ul-Ghayb, an Excerpt:
Hz. Ghouth-e-Azam, Shaykh Syed Abd-ul-Qadir Jilani r.a. says that when you see the people of the world, with world in their hands, the world with all its treacheries and false promises, the world whose outer is soft and inner is dry, the world who is going to kill all those ignorants and arrogants in whose hands it is, the world who, because of its faithlessness, is going to inflict pains on all those its holders, do not look at them the second time. Just avert your face to other direction.
The Shaykh r.a. says that when you see the people of the world, avert your fact to the other direction as when you see some one sitting to discharge his urine and stool, and you avert your face to other direction. Avoid looking at them as you avoid looking at that mad man who is sitting for discharging his stool in the public place. Close your eyes, and put hands on your nose. When you see the people of the world, pass them by, as you pass by the mad man sitting on his stool in the public place. Avoid the people of the world as you avoid the bad smell and odor of the stool or shit. Avert your face and pass by them as quickly as possible.
Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin wa ala Aali Muhammad.
